Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Cutdesk ("we", "us") collects when you use usecutdesk.com and the Cutdesk web app (the "Service"), how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and Google account ID. Your password is stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider.
- Your content: the footage, audio, images and projects you upload or create, and things made from them, such as transcripts, captions and exports.
- Creator profile: details you choose to add (such as your name or handle) so the editor can use them in your videos.
- Billing information: your plan, subscription status and payment history. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
- Usage and technical data: credit usage, the IP address and browser you use, sign-in times and error logs, which we use to run the service, prevent abuse (for example, limiting free trials) and fix problems.
How we use it
- To provide the Service: store your projects, run your edits, transcribe and analyze footage when you ask, and export your videos.
- To manage your account, trial, credits and subscription, and to send account emails (sign-in links, receipts, important changes).
- To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To answer support requests.
We don't sell your personal information, we don't use your content for advertising, and we don't train our own AI models on your content.
Service providers
We use these providers to run the Service. They process data only to provide their service to us.

If you connect your own AI agent (such as Claude Code, Codex or another MCP client), the information that agent reads from your project is sent to that agent's provider under your own agreement with them.
How long we keep it
- Projects and files are kept while your account is open. Items you delete go to the trash and are permanently deleted after 30 days.
- When you close your account, we delete your account and content within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as billing records) and backups that expire on their own schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can view and update your account details, download your exports and delete projects or your whole account in the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and protect the Service. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), each editing session runs separately from other users', and access to your files requires your signed-in session. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Children
The Service isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app.
